Our Root Furniture is made entirely of waste products from teak trees that were cut down by The Dutch East India Company in Indonesia nearly two hundred years ago. The roots were left in the ground and they really are a by product as they were left to rot or were burnt being of no use to anybody. All of the teak furniture is a natural reclaimed product. We do not source any of our products from the main trade centres such as Bali and consequently our products are more competitively priced and a larger amount goes direct to the manufacturers as there are no middle-men. Our teak furniture comes direct from a small group of villages many hours travelling time from any large city.
